When asked, “why do I write”, I laugh at such a loaded question. I write because I have too. Not only to make money but also it’s what I love. I live to write. And in all reality, I write to live some months out of the year. If you’ve lost focus of the reason why you write, take some time to think about it. Make sure that you take time while writing for others to write for yourself. It’s something most writes forget to do. They lose sight of the reason they started writing from the get go. If you find yourself in that place, take time for yourself and just free write. Don’t correct it, don’t pick at it; just write. I promise this type of writing will set you free. If you don’t feel like doing this right away then take time to go be by yourself before you start to write. As a writer, I know the feeling of being exhausted from writing. Every night I go to sleep knowing I have to do it all over again in the morning but how I know I have found my niche is that when I wake up, it doesn’t feel like an monotonous task like all my other jobs used too. It feels right to write. You see what I just did there!

Remember, if you find yourself lost in the present, take time to remember the past, your roots per say!
